Your Attack: It would require Activating 3 Adventurers to deal a Wound in combat in this scenario. The dungeon has 3 Defense.

Your Defense: Supernatural is only a damage type, if you can defend against it by raising your Stamina high enough, you can evade taking a Wound.

A defense that would not work against Supernatural would be dropping a Phase spell in to play, since it only makes Adventurers Immune to (harm), the Slaughs attack would still penetrate the Immunity, and you would have to raise your Stamina to 5 to stop her attack.

Even if the damage type were (fire), if you can raise your Defense to meet or exceed the attack power, you have defended successfully.

I should know this but I thought I'd ask to make sure I know what's going on.

If a creature with the Supernatural attribute attacks do I need to use a defense item that is Supernatural to stop the Supernatural damage?

I have looked in the revised rules and it seems to me that I don't need the Supernatural defense item.

Thanks very much.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that this has already been answered above. I should really just read the whole thread. :S
