Greetings from Fullerton, California!

Rapid Strike, when boosted, seems to be a double-strike option, but I'm confused as to the "Lock an Adventurer" aspect of the non-boosted use of this card.

Also, have you considered creating a PDF file of a Crawler Card Guide, explaing each card as much as possible, rather then answering semi-related questions about the functions of each Crawler card in a Q & A forum?

And perhaps a similar guide for the Dungeon cards?

Having Lots of Fun,

Essentially, this ties up an extra Adventurer in process of using this ability. Dealing extra damage in combat had to penalized with as much prejudice as possible... erhm, there had to limits. So, in exchange for the extra damage in this case, it will tie up an Adventurer's Class Boost Ability and their Resources, they will not be able to attack or defend otherwise (unless they already have, in which case, it will take longer for them to recover). The Adventurer is so focused on the single target that they may have over committed themselves to the attack.

I had not! That's not a bad idea actually. We did keep a FAQ page around here though: http://www.dungeoncrawler.com/ecg/rules.php (1/2 way down the page)
