If an adventurer is already activated when another card instructs that adventurer to be activated again, does the adventurer receive a lock token for the new activation?

A Character or Adventurer can only be Activated once. If a card specifies Activate and an Adventurer or Character is already Activated it can not be Activated further. Some cards specify you can put a Lock token on them or Activate them instead (like in the case of Pin).
