I scan BGG from time to time, usually looking for solo games, and found this one. I must say I'm quite interested.

I've avoided games like MtG because I'm not into endless card collection. Was happy to see that this seems to be a contained, "can get em all" type of card set. I've also looked at the rules and some vids and I think I could come to grips with the gameplay.

But I don't have much experience at building decks or building adventures. I see that some adventures are laid out here and that looks like a helpful start for sure. If I get this game I'm going to want all the cards, so its all or nothing for me (that cool mat too hehe) but I'm a little nervous about how to go about setting it all up once I get them. Take these cards out, add these cards in, not sure about the method. 3 of this card, 4 of that, etc.

I was thinking maybe random? Mix em up and deal out a number of each category and see what happens? I assume these types of things should become more clear with game time?

A random deck can be rather exciting, because you don't know what you'll be facing. In the case of a random decks, you'll need to have a well balanced crawler deck and choose your Quest cards wisely.

The campaigns that are posted are fluid as well, you don't have to have the exact cards in that deck to make it work (provided it doesn't call for the Damsel or Greenknee, which are both found in the starter).

I just ordered the starter set a few minutes ago. Looking forward to playing the game. I have been checking out the tutorials. Very helpful and well done. Also loving the music you chose to go along with it. My wife was dancing all over the room to it.

The credits referenced nightingalemusic. I checked it out and wow, so many tracks and artists. Could you narrow that search down for me a tad with an artist name or something. Might be interested in buying that song or cd.

Funny story about that song - I had gotten permission to use it quite a while ago, and didn't save it with the original song title, I saved it as "dc_music_01" or something similar. So, I don't actually know the title. The permission was almost 10yrs old when I finally did get around to using it, and nightingalemusic weren't sure how to track down the title either (aside from manually listening to their entire library, I assume).

haha sounds like something I'd do too. I will hunt through their lists from time to time and see if I can track it. If/when I do actually locate it I'll let you know.
